Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Echo, a Discord text-to-speech bot operated by KitsuneDen (“we”, “us”). By adding or using Echo, you agree to these terms. See also our Privacy Policy.

The service

Echo joins Discord voice channels and reads text aloud using AI voices. Standard servers use a voice engine we host ourselves; Echo Premium servers use higher-quality ElevenLabs voices.

Echo also includes free accessibility features for every server, regardless of tier: text captions of voice activity and live speech-to-text transcription for hearing-impaired members.

Echo Premium additionally offers meeting transcripts: with /meeting, Echo records a voice meeting and posts a text transcript to your channel. Echo announces in the channel when recording starts, and no audio or transcript is retained by us after the transcript is delivered.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Echo to:

• break Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines;
• harass, abuse, or harm others, or generate hateful, illegal, or infringing content;
• record a voice meeting without notifying the people in the channel and obtaining any consent the laws that apply to you require;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

Server administrators are responsible for how Echo is used within their servers, including notifying participants and obtaining consent before recording where required.

Echo Premium & billing

• Echo Premium is an optional subscription that upgrades an entire server to ElevenLabs voices. Pricing is shown at checkout (currently $3/month or $30/year).
• Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime via the billing portal (/premium manage); access continues through the end of the paid period.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing or features with reasonable notice.
• Premium depends on third-party services and may be subject to fair-use limits to keep the service sustainable.

Availability & “as is”

Echo is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We aim for good uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and features may change or be discontinued.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KitsuneDen is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of Echo. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if any).

Third-party services

Echo relies on Discord, ElevenLabs, and Stripe. Your use is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

Termination

We may suspend or remove Echo's access for any server that violates these terms or abuses the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it. Material changes are reflected by the effective date above.
